Summary

The Sales Analyst role offers an opportunity for a data-driven professional with a passion for retail to contribute to strategic decision-making processes and drive business growth through insightful analysis and informed recommendations. This role will establish connections between business performance metrics and underlying consumer behavior patterns. The ability to obtain actionable insights from multiple sources and present findings clearly is crucial. 

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Be a champion and expert of the tools, resources and performance reporting process.   
  • Update and maintain standardized reports and dashboards to track sales and operations performance.  
  • Develop new reports, dashboards and insights to share with MFR teams.  
  • Complete ad-hoc analysis and deep dives using multiple data sources to support a variety of business needs.   
  • Update and maintain a database which houses sales and operations data from multiple resources.   
  • Stay abreast of consumer and market trends and share with cross-functional teams and retail partners. 
  • Utilize multiple sales and consumer insights tools to develop a point of view and make recommendations for future strategies.  
  • Partner with cross-functional partners to understand each unique customer segment, uncover insights, and translate information into a story to share internally and externally.  
  • Continuously look to improve process to benefit the company.  
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders throughout the organization. 

Essential Skills And Abilities

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field.  
  • 3+ years in a business analyst role within the retail/ CPG industry. 
  • Has experience and understanding of the retail industry, customers, and products.  
  • Has demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving skills. 
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships. 
  • Ability to self-direct, work autonomously and manage multiple projects simultaneously. 
  • Has strong attention to detail, proficiency, and accuracy as it relates to working with data. 
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Power Point. Use of Power BI is a plus.  
  • Is curious about the consumer and enjoys researching consumer habits. 
  • Anticipates business questions and is proactive in answering questions. 
  • Dependable team player who stands for integrity, communicates well, keeps commitments, and ensures responsibilities are completed on time. 
  • Flexibility and adaptability in supporting more than one team or function across the organization. 
  • Clear and effective communication with all styles to foster ever improving teamwork. 
  • Organized for productivity and efficiency, yet flexes to anticipate and meet future needs of customers and teams.
